I'm really surprised that I was able to spend as much as I did for the new stereo stuff I put in the truck this summer.
But, I've asked Santa for some more truck stuff for Christmas.
I've picked out a set Kicker speakers for all four doors, and front pillar. All wires, crossovers etc included. Also asking for some inexpensive LED strips so I can make the reflector on the side mirrors, a working turn signal. And Ka'Bluey needs weather strip for both door jambs, and windows, and he needs a stereo, there's just a hole there now
So, what are you hoping Santa brings you for you truck
I did get the Kicker speakers for the 2013. Two sets of 6x8's, the rear are coaxle and the front pair are component speakers. I got the rear speakers in today, and the front mounted in the doors.
So tomorrow I install the crossover and the woofers and tweeters, and fire it up. And a couple of clear LED strips, and now the reflectors on the front of the side mirrors, are now turn signals.
Santa saw that Bedrug currently has a $30 rebate going on and he scheduled the appointment for the window tinting later this week.
The Old Fat guy treated me pretty good this year.
Looking good Bob. Let me know how you like those Kicker speakers. I really need to get some new speakers for Betty.
Alex, these Kickers sound great! Way better sound than the stock speakers, pretty decent low's for not having a sub nor an amp. Nice bass still, and with those tweeters, the highs are nice and bright.
So which would you prefer, Kicker or Rockford Fosgate?
I checked out several different brands on line, and read a lot of reviews. And made the decision to go with the Kickers. And for the wattage they're rated for, versus the 50 watt max from the Pioneer stereo that I bought, they should last a long time.
