Thanks Bob. I'll have to keep that in mind as I'm planning on keeping the stock head unit. I just need new speakers for the truck. The stock ones sound like they're blown out.
"Santa" came through for me...all I wanted was a drop hitch for my '17 F250..."she" bought me a Gen-Y 16k lb 2" receiver hitch with 10" drop and 3-ball/pintle setup...hoping that's the only hitch I'll need, but don't know what the future holds...
Thanks, Bud.
I've taken quite a liking to this truck, more so than many of the others .. including my '11 Screw.
Now a new problem...my teenager got to drive it today, so, now I'm not the only one.
I have been fighting with this new stereo that I love the sound of, since the install in November.
One thing after another has gone out. Now the Sync won't respond. So after another melt down, (Had a good one yesterday at Walmart) I made two options.
#1 I take it to a service center, and they eat the repairs.
#2 they can have it all back.
They took the last option. So, tomorrow I'm taking this stuff out, again, putting my suck factory stereo back in, and start shopping again.

Buddy it's been one thing after another since I put this stereo in, in the middle of November. Now I can't get the Sync functions to work like it's supposed to. And the last few times the Sync would work from the steering wheel controls, it muted the stereo, and then shut the stereo off.
So I'm back to looking for another stereo. I wold like to have the same stereo, keep the steering wheel controls working, a different face plate, and maybe not even fool with Sync, since the hands free phone from the Pioneer worked better than the Sync ever did.
What a pain in the butt.
Sorry to hear about your radio troubles Bob. FWIW I've never had any luck with anything from Pioneer. Maybe look at a better head unit from a different audio company.

The stereo actually worked pretty good. It was the aftermarket stuff to retain Sync, and steering wheel controls that were the pain.
But, I'm looking for a different face plate, and may not even fool with Sync since the Pioneer hands free worked better than my Sycn system did. I'd like to keep the steering wheel controls. If, they'll work better than everything that I bought from Crutchfield.
I'm wondering if anybody has used, or know of anybody that has owned one of these stereo's. There are no reviews yet, and I'm not going to be the first.
