Merry Christmas Everyone. I have a question about my 08 F250. I purchased it used in March this year and love it after I deleted all the emissions. It was a Texas truck I bought in Tennessee. Now I'm wondering does it have a block heater? I've looked all over the front bumper area and haven't found a cord but read somewhere they all have a heater just not a cord. I tried to look up the Build List from my VIN number but can't find anything. Can some one help me?
It may not have a cord attached just the heater socket in the freeze plug hole. My truck was from Cali and did not have the cord but did have heater. From what sxr says it sounds like they are the same from 6.0 to 6.4
International dealer had the best price for the cord Ford was very pricy.
I found them to be a pain to install. On my truck the connection was right behind the starter into the block. Get it from Harvester Int'l, alot cheaper. My plug ground wire broke, so I bought a $4 plug from Lowe's and replaced it in 1/2 hr. The dealer wanted $119 for the whole cord, and $165 install. Yeah right!
Ebay also has the cord. It's a little bit of a pain to find without a flashlight. There are probably pictures here or youtube videos since so many people add them. I used a short (9') high rated extension cord.
