How much does it cost to
Have a shop change your valve cover gaskets. I don't think I have the patience to try it.

How much does it cost to
Chiltons labor guide quotes only 3 hours plus parts. If a shop is charging $55 an hour, that's $165 labor. Gaskets required would be the 2 valve covers and upper intake gasket. If you replace the factory ones with the same kind(with the metal reinforcing and o-ring), they are almost $20 each. upper intake is like $3. Most shops would prob get between 200 and 250 dollars for this job. It stuff like this that makes me glad I work on my own. I suggest you get in the mood, and just do it yourself. Don't let it even begin to a test your patience. Just do it and enjoy doing it. Save yourself $150 while your at it. It's better off in your pocket than theirs. Good luck.
