Going to find out where my tic is...

Tomorrow I am going to track down my ticking in my 5.4 3V. I am going to listen to it tonight. Tried to listen to it without a stethoscope last night but I was unable to tell what side it is coming from. Thinking I might have to remove a valve cover when I find it. Does any one have any tips? I did subscribe to alldatadiy for info. But I have learned that people who do this stuff have way more info than a few pictures. Thanks for reading.
And yes I did the search, but I don't have a few hours to weed through everything. This place has a ton of info and people who know about these trucks/engines.

Did you find anything? It could be anything from a loose spark plug, to a exhaust manifold gasket to a cam phaser top a lash adjuster.

I went through all my plugs and they are tight. I think it is a warped exhaust manifold on the drivers side. I can really hear it ticking from underneath the truck. Going to get that fixed and see if that does it.
