Good evening everybody. I have esof 4x4 on my 16 ccsb lariat 6.2. should I also be manually locking and unlocking the Hubs periodically just to keep them loose and prevent anything from seizing over time?
I notice no difference in how the truck drives on my '03, locked or unlocked. Did you also turn the ESOF to 4X4 or leave it in 2WD? 4X4 on dry pavement is a no no and would make it drive very differently.

Just curious , how did your truck drive different ? My 2015 drives the same .
I felt the front end was more engaged as if I was in 4WD. it had more drag when accelerating and the steering wheel was slighter heavier going around turns. it wasnt that anything felt wrong or bad...it was just that the front end felt much more engaged as if it was 4x4.
Why? There is no requirement for a reduced speed. I have run lots of hwy miles with mine locked in. Several trucks that I have owned.
For my truck (2003), the owner's manual says to shift between 2HI and 4HI (into or out of) at speeds less than 55mph (hubs and/or transfer case). You must be stopped to go into 4LO. There is no recommended limit on how fast you can drive while in 4HI.
