power mirror conversion
hey guys,
ive got a 2010 f250 xl. it currently does not have power mirrors, they are fully manual. I broke one of them and need to get the truck inspected. is it possible to add power/heated mirrors to this truck easily, or is it a huge undertaking. ive had some vehicles that had the wiring harness already set up inside the door. thanks

It's fun to add all those features, but I had to do all the wiring. I put on a set of Chinese mirrors and they are cheap and have held up okay (lighted/heated/power). I did not find any wiring available. Not sure yours would be the same (different year).
The power mirror switch is the same on everything, so I cut the plugs off a random Ford in the junkyard. However, with lighted mirrors, I chose to cut the plugs off the mirrors entirely rather than try to find that particular plug in the junkyard or aftermarket.
