I do apologize for posting here if this this isn't the right place. I'm new to this forum.
I'm wiring up off road lights. I know you can draw power from the positive side of the ignition recoil. After my 3g swap, and my brighter whites mod I ran out of room! I have no room to add any additional powered wires for additional relays.
I'm wondering what possible avenues I can take to extend power to additional relays.
Install a 12g lead with a ring terminal on the hot side of the starter solenoid. The lead goes to a fuse and then an auxiliary fuse block. The fuse has to be rated to protect the total planned load.
I wired my four roof-mounted lights in pairs - inside and outside.
Each pair is run off a single relay with two switched terminals - 87 and 87A.
Each relay and pair of lights is protected by its own fuse.
