SuperDuty springs in a 79 F350

Are superduty springs capable of bolting in a 79 F350 4wd ?

My buddy is building a 79 F350 supercab and he in looking to keep the truck as LOW as possible and be able to run the 37" military tires

Suggestions?

Here is F350's advice from a while back. Statement #4.

And more of Ed's info. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post14696881

Also I am pretty sure the newer SD leaf spring it mounted with a metric bolt? Meaning the bushing is metric too? And the 79 front spring mount bracket holes are standard, same for the front spring, rear shackles bolt.

Does he mind trimming a bit of his front fender fwd lip? Or maybe a small lift (4") and a 1 or 2" body lift, if he does not want to trim anything.

I'm going to be doing the same thing to a 79 f250 supercab. I mounted up my 35's on stock springs and there's tons of room, so he shouldn't need much. I got some stock X code springs out of an '04, I'm hoping to get 3" out of them. It's getting a Cummins and probably a plow, so I'm hoping it settles around 2" over stock with all the weight on. I also want it low, on 37s ultimately, with full articulation. I've seen a couple builds online where guys dropped and moved the front hanger forward to get more tire/cab clearance. I thought I was going to get to mess with it in the next couple weeks, but the weathers not looking great. I need to get them in so I can get the rear set up. I was going to run some dodge springs I have, but now I'm thinking about swapping some 08+ SD rears in. More capacity and a better ride, same work as swapping the dodge springs.

I have a build write up going, I haven't done much in the last few months, it'll be in there when I get to it.. hopefully in the next few weeks.
