Just bought a 2013 Ford F250 6.7 Powerstoke with 115K miles and it has this cable coming from below the middle of the dashboard. Not sure what its for. Possibly a winch or something? I know it used to be a commercial vehicle. Anyone know??
Possibly a 3rd Battery hookup for some extra equipment they may have had. Battery was in the cab?!? Have you traced out where the other ends of the wires go to/connect to?
Definitely aftermarket. My guess is they had a large power inverter in the cab.
If no immediate plans to use them assure they are disconnected at the other end or remove entirety.
Looks like the cable is much heavier capacity than that switch could handle. It has two different color wires either side of the switch in the picture so it must be switched. Could still carry 10-15A or so.
