Runs rough when cold
I have a 2001 7.3 with 259,000 miles. I live in Louisiana so it does not get too cold here, however over the past few winters when the temp is below 50 at night the first minute or two of running out of the neighborhood is tough going unless I let it heat up. It has been getting worse over the past few years and now if its even 55 or 60 I need to let it heat up. Ideas? Glow plugs? Injectors?

If these are your original injectors 9 out of 10 chances are poppet valve wear causing insufficient armature clearance.

New injectors is the proper fix, but a Shim Kit can be a temporary fix.
Shims worked for me.
