does anyone know the right offset for engine placement with the crown vic front end.. i looking for side to side i don't think is supposed to be centered do to the rear end been so far off to the pass side, the most i can go is 1 3/8 over to the pass side
I don't know if the Crown Vic makes a difference, but from the factory, the engines in the F series are offset 1½" to the passenger side (crankshaft centerline).
Info from the Ford body builders manual.

ok i wanted to set the engine the same way my old 360 was before but i forgot to messure before i pulled it out.. thank you
FYI.. the engine offset kinda matters if ya install oval-bodied mufflers..
Kinda threw me for a loop when I hung some spare Flowmasters in place and it got real close to right frame rail.. then the lightbulb came on about the engine offset..... I went with round-bodied Magnaflows instead.

i think the part that matter the most is lining up the trans tail shaft to the rear end, which has more offset than the engine
