Model year differences?

While you are correct that the bumper is rated at 500 lbs tongue weight and 5,000 lbs trailer weight those same two limits also do apply to the factory receiver hitch for Weight Carrying applications (non Weight Distribution). Both the early build with the 10,000 lb WD limitations and the later builds with the 12,500 lb rating due to the bolt size increase.
This is from my factory hitch, yours should read exactly the same.

I recently bought a 2000 Limited and have wondered if you can make the doors automatically lock when you drive. My 2004 has this feature but can't find this feature on the 2000.
Also has anyone converted a 2000 steering wheel to a full control steering wheel-heat, cruise and radio controls?

I have 2 each Excursions. Both are 2000 model years. One is an XLT and other is Limited.
The Limited was made in Nov of 1999 and the XLT was made in March of 2000. Interior trim molding is different on rear hatch.
So there are even some differences in the same model years.
