F250 with Mazda transmission?

Anybody know if a 95 F250 could have come stock with the Mazda manual 5 speed transmission? (mine has one, but I didn't know if Ford installed these in F250s. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure they only came with the ZF5.

Light duty F250 could have an M5od, 302 and semi-float rear.

... and in fact WOULD have a semi-float rear axle. If your rear axle doesn't have the big hub sticking through the wheel, then it's a standard F-250 and could have had the Mazda trans. The F-250HD would have always had a full-floating rear axle and would not have had the Mazda trans.

For me it's the latter "have learned a LOT someway."

I usually learn something new on these forums everyday

You could have checked off the box to get the ZF in a F-150. My friend/ former co-worker has one in his '89 XL 300 4x4. I wish mine was optioned that way instead of the Mazda trans.

I have one truck with ZF and one with the Mazda. I like the ZF MUCH more.
