The L73 10 5 9J22 should be 3L73 (3.73:1 Limited slip) 10 5 (10.5 inch ring gear Visteon rear axle). I think you're missing the first number on the bottom line.
In fact if the truck is a superduty I know that's what it is (except for the limited slip) because that's the only axle ratio the PSD's are offered with.

Unless you have a dually F350 and then you can get either the 3.73 or the 4.10.

But he doesn't have a dually. He has the SRW 10.5 which is only available with 3.73 in a PSD
I was only talking about his truck specifically. That's why I mention Superduty by name because I don't know if the PSD vans are offered in different ratios.
My truck has a blank space under AXL on the pillar as well. Looks like it was printed that way from the factory. However I know my vehicle had been modified before I bought it because the numbers on the diff tags read that I do not have posi. and I sure DO have posi. Also I am pretty sure that 3.73 was not the only axle ratio available on superduty f-250s from the factory, now this may vary depending on the year. The Ford truck FAQ at the top of this forum has a link to a calculator where you can get an idea of your gear ratio by inputting your rpms at 60 mph ( maybe tire size too).

For SRW PSD's it was. For gas motors or duallies there are other ratios. Unless this has changed in the new 04's.
