...I should post a few pics just for the fun of it but it would be one the wrong forum tho. My Dad has had his 1978 3/4 ton truck since 1979 and he just did a complete rebuild on it. He rebuilt the entire engine too. My husband painted it for him and finished up some of the blocking and body work. My Dad went with the original Ford blue but he wanted the truck painted with single stage. Its his work truck. So you see "builds" are in my blood lol
It's your thread, post whatever you want. Everybody here loves to see old Fords!
Ok...you guys asked for it...here are my off topic pics from my Dads 1978 Ford 3/4 Ton 4x4 that he has owned since 1979. My Dad is a workaholic (works harder now that he is retired). He is also Mr. Fix it with anything and everything. Everyone always says if my Dad cant fix it then it cant be fixed. He rebuilt the engine and everything in this truck. Its still in the process of being put back together but I am very proud of him for doing what he does and knowing all that he knows. Hes a pretty amazing Dad. Pics to follow...........
MY husband decided to paint my trucks in steps. Since he says my truck is as big as a bus!! So this past wknd he painted the roof and hood then wet sanded everything last night and it will be buffed out and complete tonight. My truck will have 3 coats of clear on everything. This coming weekend we will cover/tape the hoof and roof then paint the sides. He said then we are going to get the cab put completely back together and then he will begin all the work on the bed. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE MY TRUCK especially after seeing the paint job so far. The white is blinding when its outside and Ive never seen something so shiny! I am going to add pics shortly. The pics were taken before any final wet sanding and buffing (so its going to look even better than these pics's). The pics in the shop show how shiny my truck is but the pics outside show the true color....BRIGHT white! And we used the original YZ paint code. I'm so anxious for my truck to be road ready. Im so glad that my husband is a perfectionist when it comes to body work. Very proud of him for all of his hard work on my truck.
My dad came over on Saturday to help with a few things at our house. While he was there he helped my husband measure out my new cab lights and drill the holes. The cab lights that were on it before at one at each edge of the roof then kind of a cluster of lights in the middle. I wanted mine evenly spaced. The new lights look so nice. Of course they took them off so my husband could paint yesterday
