thanks in advance -
new to group and i have limited funds to get heat into cab -
cigarette light does not work - - so I need some specific instructions to woiring off battery, install relay and fuse and set car heater on floor or dash
I want to buy one of those car cigar lighter types - cut off plug and hard wire to relay and fuse - thanks again in advance
yes - figured not a lot of heat but "limited funds" by my definition means not affording currently - replacing factory blower and heat strip and maybe paying shop hrly rate to do the work - figuring $8-15 for relay harness, $25 for dash type heater - my time not really free - but after working hours I am off the clock - so under hood - maybe 2 hours because of learning curve... so I can search for a 10 amp relay and fuse harness, and then switch (forgot the on/off swith - add $8-15 again) viola - at the feet or in seat next to me - or on dash blowing toward my face - work truck not so unbearable - I know very "jerry-rigged" BUT - if you have a product that operates on 30amp fuse - for certain that translate to more blower power and maybe one more heat strip.. thanks again - remember I am bypassing the cigarette lighter and coming straight off battery
