I had a nasty parasitic drain on my battery. I pulled the 30 amp heater A/C fuse and it quit. My question, is there a heater or A/C relay on the 1989 F150 6 cylinder? Is there any other reason this could have drained the battery. Since i have removed the fuse, the battery stays charged, and no draw thru the light tester.
There is a Relay that turns the Blower power off and on but all the information I have says that the power comes from a Fuse Link over the Yellow wire.
I see no 30 Amp in the fuse box, there is a 15 Amp A/C Blower control Fuse.
I the early 80's (about 1982) E series had a 30 Amp fuse for the Blower and it had a lot of problems.
Where would you suggest i get a service manual from? The actual ford manual that i have came with the truck and it shows a 30 amp fuse in the panel marked heater AC/ heater and is number #9.
Disregard my earlier post, I have now found more information that you more than likely do have a 30 Amp fuse that feeds this diagram. No relay.

Thanks subford. I am going to do a little more checking, but for some odd reason I bet the owner before my brother hooked the radio dim or something to that yellow wire you mentioned above. Thanks again.
Same parasitic battery drain. 90 F350 IDI auto 4X4 CC
I have the same battery drain. In fact when I bought the truck the dealer told me it needed new batteries. They were dead. At night now when I'm done I turn these little green battery switches that I have and it disconnects the grounds on the batteries and when I turn them back on they're good. If I let it sit overnight hooked up it's okay. If I let it sit 4-5 days hooked up they are way low. Of course I have two batteries for the diesel and so I'm figuring that's a pretty good-sized drain. I also have a dome light that will not go out and my left turn signal turns off the cruise control when I'm on the highway. I was thinking that my electricity drain was centered around the steering column and the dome light problem. Now I'm wondering if maybe I have a couple of problems. I'll check on that fuse tomorrow and see if it stops my battery drain.
Hauler How long have you had the vehicle? I think I would give the dealer a call where you got it and let them fix it. Basically as I have been instructed on here, pull the negative terminal and hook a light tester between them to confirm the drain. Pull one fuse at a time until the light disappears. Quicklook I hate ebay and their liberal mentality. I would rather overpay else where than get a deal from them. Thanks for all of your help. Now if I could only figure out why this 1993 escort's engine surges when I start it up.
Did the truck have a remote starter instaled? I put a Bulldog remote in mine two years ago, last summer the truck would have a dead battery every morning. I found the remote left the fan on all the time which drained the battery. If you have one in the truck it might be under the steering column above the cover pannel.
