I want to find a place to put an air compressor and tank where I wont need to weld a mount together, I cant weld very good id be afraid it would come apart.
6 upfitter switches. I need about 4 more switches.
Switch 1- airbag compressor and rearview cameras.
Switch 2- rear LED work lights
Switch 3- front LED offroad lights pointed to the left and right side of truck for dark night turns.
Switch 4- 500 amp relay for front and rear winch power from battery.
Switch 5- Viair air compressor with 100% duty cycle.
Switch 6- aux transfer fuel tank pump.
Love the new Ford super duty. I wish Ford would make the upfitter wires just 2-3 inches longer and maybe a junction box to bring our wiring to.

Reason: Different wording.

Are you going to add an air tank with the compressor? What size and where will you put it? (I 'm wondering how much room is under the truck)
By the way, there are numerous aftermarket product options for adding switch panels to your truck.
Light bar, cornering lights, seat heater, passenger seat heater (I have an XLT), Always hot.....air bag compressor, back up lights.
I like the idea of the seat heaters. Ill be getting an XL or maybe XLT so I wont have the heated seat option from Ford. Ill will be adding them so why not have a switch from ford the use them with.

I purchased Wet Okole seat covers with the heat option for both seats so I didn't have to take the factory upholstery off. They work really well. You can get heated seats with the XLT premium package but I didn't want all the added chrome and ramming boards. I would have just taken the running boards off because I put Amp Research power ramming boards on instead.
I put the power to my AMP running boards on mine, so that I could turn them off either out or in.
Hi puckett_jw,
How did you wire your AMP research running boards? I called AMP and I thought they were jerks...I inquired about the option of their switch...but I have the uplifter switches in my Gen 1 Raptor (4 Switch, Same as Super Duties). I figured I could run the hot wire to the switch instead of the battery and use it as a cut-off. I think the real question is if the switches are hot. And which amperage switch did you use? I know they provide I think 2 x 30 amp and 2 x15 amp...not sure. Any info would be great. I can't believe there is no switch in the first place...you know, like when you are 4x4ing and don't want the steps to deploy...and ice and snow build up make them stick half way down....need to be able to turn these off...I guess amp research didn't do much research

I have the hot wire for the boards hooked to the 5th switch. The 5th & 6th switch on the super duty can be configured to be always hot. They are rated for 40 amps. Since the fuse that they have installed is 30 amp, then I assumed that all was good & that I did not need a relay. I don't know about the switches in your truck, but I would find out how many amp they are rated for & make sure that it is more than the fuse for your boards.
I have had them installed this way since 11/16, so just over 2 years without any issues.

thanks for the quick reply. I have to four switch one that comes stock in the Gen 1 Raptors. One of the switch’s is 30 amps, so I think that will work. Did you use the pass through wires or did you run a new wire to the power steps 12v?

I guess that I don't understand the question as they come with the ODB II plug & a 2 wire harness to get +`12v & ground, so I hooked the +12v to the switch. You need to make sure that your switch that you are using is always hot & is not tied to the ignition key.
I am not sure if you have seen it, but they have the installation instructions on their site, so that may help you "see" how the install goes.
I did a search. But most everything that came up was on wiring, and adding switches.
I I was thinking about some rock lights and some safety strobe lights. For following equipment in. But could you hook safety lights to one? Every truck I have seen with them had their own control panel for different patterns.
I have done exactly this, my mini emergency light bar, alley lights, front and rear led warning lights, dimmer function and pattern change are all connected through my upfitters
I have my front hubs on #1. I'm about to wire up the rear locker to #2. This spring, I plan to build a headache rack with bed lights...and add backup lights to the rear bumper that will go on #3. A front lightbar or corner lights will go on #4.
