79 Body swap
I have a 79 250 4wd with auto trans and want to switch bodies with a 79 150 2wd auto trans. I think this will work but I'm not sure if the body mounts are the same and also will the floor board have to be cut out of the 2wd to accomadate the transfer case lever. Help.....

Casey the guys in the 73-79 section might be of more assistance but if both trucks have the same sized hump in the floor you should just be able to switch the tunnel cover which is where the hole for the t-case shifter is located. Some of the older trucks had a high tunnel and some had a low one. If the 4x4 has the high tunnel and the 2wd has the lower one then you are in for problems and may want to reconsider unless you are good at sheet metal work.
