VIN Plate question
I've been lurking here for a few weeks now. Most of my questions have been answered by searching. Lot of information, very useful site. The web makes it a lot easier to keep these old trucks on the road. I've owned my 69 F-250 Camperspecial for almost 25 years. Close to 300000 miles on the engine, she is getting tired. I was thinking of buying a new truck, found this site and decided I might just put the down payment into the old truck instead. Now for a few questions. How many different model F-250's were there in 1969? Mine is a Model 254. What type axle is a 35? The rest of the VIN plate I could figure out through past posts. Thanks for all the help!

Here's what the service manual says:
F250 - 7,500 lb.
F252 - 7,500 lb.
F253 - 6,100 lb.
F254 - 6,900 lb.
F255 - 6,100 lb.
F256 - 6,900 lb.
I don't see a axle 35, it goes from 34 to 36, 37. Maybe I missed it, will check again tonight. Anybody else know?
