open diff.....
So my vin and everything says I have an open diff in the rear. But both my tires spin in the snow.......I know on my mustang only one tire spins in the snow being a v6 with an open diff as well......does this mean I better park my truck until I get friction modifier added?

Spinning both tires with little to no traction does not mean you have a limited slip differential. If the options on the VIN check indicate an open differential then that is most likely what you have.

You may have some more investigating to do like put the truck somewhere where both tires have vastly different traction and see if both still spin. If they do and your axle code indicates an open diff then it's possible the rear axle has been swapped or a PO installed an aftermarket diff.. lots of possibilities given the age of these trucks now.
