Let me get this straight...you used a DSII stator (AKA pick up coil) in the conversion? A conversion from the DSI?
The DSII came out in mid(?) '76 and used the blue grommet on the ICM. Ford continued this setup well into the 80s.
So I think you're all set if I'm understanding you correctly.

The box was the early 76 kind
The stator and pickup are 84
The truck is a 75 somebody put points in
All with a 74 and earlier distributor

The stator and pick up coil are the same thing....what am I missing?

I think the '75s still had points.....Ok, is the wiring harness from the truck to ICM to distributor hacked to hell or still usable?

Ahhhhh.....back to your original question...the stock '76 box (ICM with blue grommet) will work with the DSII.
Wow...you've got quite the compilation of ignition parts! No wonder I'm confused..

I've always had 74s and 76s so if it was points originally I don't know the wiring isn't there but a box I assume is bad is in there they painted it for some reason
By stator I thought that was the spur looking thing and the pickup the other part in there
It is the blue grommet box by the way

That "spur" looking thing is the reluctor. 8 teeth, spins around making the stator (pickup coil) either "on" or "off".....basically spark, no spark.
The blue grommeted ICM is from '76 on up.
I think there's some wiring to be done...link courtesy of

DuraSpark electronic ignition introduced in 1974, but not all vehicles came with it until 1976.
