Tailgates step owners question

Any update on this? I just got my truck home yesterday and noticed the same thing. At the LA Autoshows all the truck there poppped out enough where you can easily pull it out. This one you have claw it out with the edge of your fingers.

My tailgate step used to pop out just great. Then I took it through the car was (the whole truck, not just the tailgate). Now it's hit or miss on it popping out, plus the step handle doesn't like to go back in.

Mine is starting to be hit or miss as well. It was good for awhile. Lately it has been working. Will see how it holds up once summer season hits where it will be worked much harder.
