What size drop hitch?
I ordered a 2017 F350 CC Long bed 4x4 and wanted to see how much drop I will need for my ball. I'm pretty sure my 2" drop isn't going to cut it. I was planning to get an adjustable height something like the B&W hitch but didn't want to get longer than what is needed. Any help would be appreciated.

There is some debate but I am getting the 10" drop, 3" receiver (they are taking pre-orders now). Some are getting the 8" but it has over 11" of clearance with a 10" so I would rather have the range and not need it than the other way around.

You will need 5" to 7" drop to get the range to pull level.

I got the B&W 5" drop with 2.5 inch shank and it is perfect for my dump trailers. I'm not on the lowest setting. I would not want more than that unless I had a specific trailer that was unusually low.

still playing with mine, I was surprised how much squat I get from a 900 lb tongue weight on the F250, not nearly as much as my F150 though.
