Did my copper washer separate. If it did suggestions for getting it out.

Most likely, there are two of them. One on the injector, the other stuck in the bore.

Haven't thought about that. Already sent core back and was fooling around with my camera and just saw pictures tonight. Now I seen the inside lip. That answers ALOT of questions.

Bought truck with low compression on #8 cylinder. Never checked it myself. ForScan gave 2 codes that cylinder. Contribution/ balance and Misfire. Thought I would give it a shot replacing injector before going deeper.

Thanks Randy.

See? Like I mentioned to you, now fish that ring out of there, slap a new injector in and you'll be good to go again!

Clean the bore well,

Two very good tools for cleaning the bore. Add to that one compressor
to blow the bore out and the hold down bolt hole.

I found some brushes at Harbor Freight that worked good. A block cleaner set with nylon, brass and SS brushes.

Thanks Bob I'll head there this morning. Got a lot of running around to do. Think I'll buy their compression tester while there. Something I should have done to start with.

Don't go too deep with the smaller ones. I had one small one come off of the holder. I was able to reach it with some long needle nose plyers.

I used that same set the last time I did my injector orings and they worked for the cup sides but the copper washer surface was an issue. You will need to find another brush like Yahiko posted.

Sean, I found one similar to yours but smaller. Do you remember where you got yours?
