cylinder number order

cylinder number order

i need to replace my number 8 coil. how do i know what cylinder is number 8?

the cylinders are numbered 1 through 8 starting with the front of the motor on the passenger side going towards the firewall 1 through 4 and then from the front of the motor on the driver side cylinders 5 through 8. cylinder 8 will be against the firewall on the driver side

Make sure you get the correct coil. The coils on the driver side are different from the ones on the passenger side you have to make sure you get the correct one.
If you get the wrong one it will not attach to the motor. They have different mounting brackets.

thanks Ed. that explains it very well. yes i discovered that the coils are different from each other according to what side of the motor the go on. the part number for the left bank is DG-526
