Post CYLINDER NUMBER

Got a check engine light and a rough running engine. Autozone said it was code 306, #6 cylinder misfiring. Want to replace that plug and if needed the plug coil. Anyone know which is the #6 cylinder?

Thanks in advance.

Here is the cylinder order
4 8
3 7
2 6
1 5

The firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

Hope this will help..

Right on Jimmygunz... If the direction is not clear from the note, #4 is closest to the front passenger seat.

Be happy it was one of those front plugs

Thanks, tried replacing plug and coil, did not fix problem. Don't know what to do now. Problem is I can feel the engine misfiring it sort of jerks the car especially when under heavy loads after engine is warm. Idle is fine although it seems a bit slow, do you know what rpm it should idle at?

Idle should be around 600 rpm, warm.

Did you ever find out what was wrong? Mine 97 Expedition is very sluggish. Took it to Autozone and it is missing on cylinder 2 and 8, so we replaced plugs, wires, and the coil and it still isn't better. Any ideas??
