Can I put a transmission from a 2000 f150 4.6 in a 1997 with a 4.6? Both have a U on the sticker but after switching them it will not go into over drive ant the of light is flashing, as well as the 4x4 light is on. Can anybody help me? And are these even compatible?

 

The trans wiring/harness is not the same between the two years.
