MY bass spkr is round. Bass is what needs power. If you push the bass on small speakers, they will eventually be overdriven to the point of bad sound and eventually blown. If you adjust your small speakers so they can put out decent power without much bass, you will have pristine cleans. The bass will also be clean and powerful due to its own amp and speaker.
I don't need to hide my Xplod. It is in a box in the back that I can move around when needed. To me, this is the perfect setup for my musical tastes. I also do not have the bass adjusted as a sub. I don't need it THAT low. It's Rock N Roll, not Rap/Hip Hop.
Oval vs round is picking nits in a car stereo. You don't have to go that far to get good sound.
The reason I was asking is because I think that they are an older model but I have an opportunity to get them at less than $75 a pair!! what do yall think?
I asked my "guy" if I should get Kenwood speakers to match the Kenwood components and he recommended the Infinity instead. Since they were last year's model, they were ~$110 a pair.
ok let me try to quote this again... The reason I was asking is because I think that they are an older model but I have an opportunity to get them at less than $75 a pair!! what do yall think?
I think this was stated already, but just incase it was not, the X doors are more or less interchangeable with SD doors, panels and all, 6x8 speakers should fit with out issue (just replaced the speakers in Enigma not too long ago) granted they are not top of the line but they only need to serve one function, replacing the worn and torn up stockies
