Those parts are the front brake hoses and their attaching parts, they connect the front calipers to the brake system. Which side goes where, you'll need to match them up to your calipers to figure that out, it should be pretty obvious.
2078 in the diagram, one per side:
Gary posted only part of the page, I have no idea what the 'G' denotes.
Sorry, I needed to be more specific. The parts I am referring to in the picture are the L brackets and the tiny screw inside the package the screws into the side of the large hex head hose. I was not sure how the L brackets went on. When I tried to put them on they did not seem to do anything but sit there.
Secondly, there is a hole in the side of the large hose to brake line fitting that the tiny screw goes into. What is this hole for?
Finally, which side gets the large hose to brake line fitting and which side gets the small one? If you look at the pic one of them is much bigger than the other. The large one can twist and the small one is fixed. Neither side has a large fitting like this on the original lines.
I can't answer your questions. Those aren't stock parts, and I think you will have to get your answers from the manufacturer. If they didn't come with instructions, might there be info on their web site?
Thanks. It did not come with instructions. I looked at their website and it did not have anything either. I will give them a call in a while and let y'all know what they say.
I looked at their website and they have nothing on installation. I also tried googling videos on it, but I could not find any like mine. I am going to call them when they open (not till 12:00 my time).
They said the dual port (larger fitting) is for trucks post '90. They told me just to block the port with the screw provided. The brackets, though they usually do not provide them, are for replacing the original ones (not sure about that since mine does not have any to begin with, but that is what I could gather through his accent). The larger fitting one is the driver's side hose.
I did not have the clips because they were not provided, at least not the springy ones so I ordered a pair of them. My brake line did not have it on the driver's side. I guess it fell off.
Not sure what the included clips are for, because they are to thick to fit between the frame and brake line (with only leaves a small space possible to small for the other clips. Post 91 shows those clips. The "stud" barely fits through enough to see a very small slit for a clip. I guess that is the way it is supposed to be though to keep it tight.
Could the brake line wrap around the frame because that is where another fuel line would go if I had an aux tank?
I have been trying to figure out the reason behind it. I could not imagine them doing it for no reason besides wasting extra money and materials....... unless it was a government design.
Dunno about the routing on the brake line around the frame. As for the answers on the parts, I think it is a pretty poor vendor that supplies extra parts w/o an instruction sheet. Looks like we now have two no-go vendors.
