I prefer Goodyear products myself, mostly because I work for a Goodyear dealer. If it matters, Goodyear and Cooper are the only U.S. owned tire manufacturers. If you're looking for a less expensive choice I would recommend Kelly, that is Goodyear's less expensive line. I have them on 4 of the 5 cars we own...
Hey John,
Post a pic of your '50 when you get a chance. I'd like to see it - specs are very similar to our's
(1950 F1, 351W/AOD, No Limit Engineering IFS). Our tires are low profile than I'd like
(my son chose the wheels/tires) so I'm not throwing them out here for consideration.
I also run Coopers. I love the retro look. Not quite 40's or early 50's, but mid 60's with the raised white letters. Still close enough to have been something someone might have done to there truck during that time frame.
Done the deed today, Ion 186 wheels and Falken Ziex ZE950 all season tires.Got as a package deal so will have them in about two weeks.
Ben, my photobucket library has a whole bunch of Truck project photos if you want to browse through. I went for 245/50/17's for tires on 17*8 wheels.
