Hi jacker questions

We are new to the camper world. One of the concerns I have is running the jacks to max length to get the camper off the truck. Has anyone made a good solution? One other thing I have noticed is one of the jacking points keeps extending. I have followed the manuals instructions for opening the valve and cracking the resivoir return the handle to the compressed position however it keeps coming back out over a few days. Do I need to re oring this jack?

One of these under each foot will give you another 1.5". And it's a good idea to spread the load of the foot anyways. http://www.contractorswholesale.com/...Redwood_MD.jpg

I need around 16" of additional extension I was thinking of sleaving the jack tube. Just wasn't sure anyone had done that.

I did put new prints on the plunger hoping this will keep it in place.

I use some large firewood rounds under my legs. Has worked for the past 7 years. You have to sit the front legs right on the edge to be able to clear the wheels as you pull out.
do you mean that the leg is dropping down on its own? Make sure the valve is closed and that the clip is secured on the bottom of the leg. I cut some bicycle tube up to help stop them from coming off.

I had one of the four camper jacks that would extend while resting & would break the safety latch, had to put a spring on it to let it do its thing,18 years later when it sold it was still doing it.

I replaced the o rings in the handle portion of the jack that pump the fluid and it seems better. I have a o ring kit from Napa and it works so far. What fluid goes in the jacks? It almost smelled like brake fluid..

AS for the extensions I used a couple of jack stands for the rear and some large beam cut offs at the front.

I do have a car trailer that spends a lot of time hanging around so I was eyeing it up for being the campers home but the trailer doesn't have shocks so I imagine it would beat the heck out of the camper.
