Most guys I know just take it off the truck and lay it on a couple of pressure treated 4x4's sitting on the ground. Make sure there is a gap between the bottom and the ground and the 4x4's are side to side not fore and aft.
You could make a couple of saw horses and have it up in the air a bit more.
I've actually laid one of mine on a picnic table (inside the cap) temporarily in a pinch. Not as stable as the saw horses tho.

camper shell stand
I have rope & tackle set up in my pole barn. I than after pulling it off swing it over to the rear corner of the barn where it rest on 2 by 4 brackes in the corner of the barn. All this is about 6 ft off the floor of the barn. I have a rope from a roof beam secureing the corner that is out in the middle of the barn.Been useing it like this since 1998.
