Any of you with a 6.2L have a MPG update? Please post gear ratio
My 6.2 with 4:30 rear gear and about 1,300lb tools gets an average of 11.3mpg with mixed driving. And I admit I could prob easily get over 12 if I kept my foot out of he fun pedal but the 6.2 with 430s is just so damn fun.
I just ran a 6.2 F350 RC with 3.73s up to New York from Southen PA yesterday with an 8' plow on the front. Avg about 11 mpg going 70-75 up and down the little mountains.
F250 - 6.2L-3.73 2600 mile round trip from Florida to Western NY...16.2 mpg
This is my first SD and wasn't sure what to expect with mpg. My 2007 expedition w/5.4 L gets 17.9 northbound and 18.7 southbound usually with 4 passengers, bullmastiff, and approx. 800 lbs. of cargo.
This trip was just my youngest son and about 500 lbs. of cargo so...very light load. Next summer we will have full load plus truck camper.
I've been telling everyone in the F-150 forum who complains about MPG's that power comes with a cost. Everyone wants to ability to pull 4000 tons and get 100 miles to the gallon and thinks their truck is a pile if it can't do all the above.
I love the way these trucks sit, Ford hit a homer with me.
There's a reason the MPG is not posted on the stickers First week with the truck so still breaking it in. Getting almost 15mpg empty. I drive with a pretty light foot.
I just bought my gasser this week and am tickled with the power and quality. The cost of gas wasn't much of a concern with my previous F150 and is not a factor with my new F250. Good job Ford.
