Starting issues! Need HELP!

Yesterday I was on a pretty long trip and stopped off the interstate to grab some food. My truck is really loud so I always shut my engine off at the drive-thru. When I went to crack it back up everything lit up but when I turned the key nothing happened. I had the truck towed home and I put a new starter on it. Still nothing..... Well after further investigating where the positive wire that comes from the starter to the battery was broken at the battery post. Don't know how the heck that happened but I fixed it back to factory condition but still nothing. I'm at a complete loss. I checked all fuses and everything looks good.
When I turn the key everything lights up, then turn to crank it and nothing but a slight sound coming from those square silver things in the fuse panel under the steering wheel. I'm at a loss!

I'd check the starter, since that's the only change you made. Maybe something didn't get reconnected properly? Put your old starter in to see if that works since it turns out that wasn't the original problem.

Just cause all the light come on with you turn the key on doesn't mean your battery is good. Take your battery to a auto parts store and have them check the thing out. On my old 2000 Expedition I went to the store once started up fine came home parked it in the garage like usual then had to run to another store and wham went to start it all the lights came on like normal but nada nothing would happen when I tried to fire it up. Just that quick the battery when south on me. I took the battery out took it to NAPA and had them run a load test and yep tested bad........ So the moral of this is get the battery tested...........

Both batteries are 12.5. I just unhooked the yellow and blue wire that runs behind my vacuum pump, switched my key forward and touched the wire to the positive terminal on my battery and WHAM! It cranked up! I saw this in another similar post. Now I just have to figure out why I can't crank it with the ignition
