PS Bracket Fix?
I have the ford PS pump w/ adjustable bracket.
It is currently bent out of line and throws the belt every so often. i say out line as it looks slightly bent toward the cab. And When I pull the bracket off to do any work to the engine its a BEAR to get to line up again. What would be the easiest way to straighten it up? Or would a new bracket be a better choice?

Shown in pic as basic part number 3C511 P/S pump support bracket & basic part number 3A732 P/S pump adjusting bracket.
1978: Ford introduced the C-II P/S pump, it has a plastic reservoir, the P/S pressure hose attaches to the pump w/a qwik connect fitting.
Because this pump is a different shape than the 1967/77 Ford/Thompson P/S pump (has a steel reservoir), the two P/S pump mounting brackets are 1978/79 only.
300 I-6 shown at bottom of pic.
I have the 3c511 bracket. It is kind of a tripod. 2 bolts right to the Timing cover then a 3rd arm reached back to another mount point. It seems to lean from the 2 bolts backward towards the cab. Not alot. just a hair.
It will throw a belt in a minute after an engine starts. This truck sat for 10 years before I got her. And I dont have heat and an anvil to go to town on her with.
Can i convert to the old style? I need a new pump pretty sure. I was tyring to do the saginaw conv but thats a whole seperate story. I also am planning to go pull a serpentine belt setup and convert cause 3 belts its terrible.
