I like everything on the Lariat ultimate package but the sunroof. I've never been a fan of them, is there any reason for concern for leaking or other problems with the panoramic roof on the new Super Duty?
Mine dose not leak at all, even in the car wash, I love it, it's a huge wow factor to anyone who see's it, and it has a blackout screen that blocks out 100% light
It was really the only "must have" option. As mentioned above, the wow factor is all there plus it gives great views while cruising.
The black out shade works well too.
The sunroof is ridiculously nice. I didn't plan it this way, but we went on a drive through Skyline drive in the Shenandoah national park last week with the family. About 10 minutes into the drive we were enjoying the view of the fall colors, and I said, "hey, let's try this". I opened the sunroof shade so we could see through the top and I am a legend in my household to this day my friend...

Depends on where you live:
Down here in S Tx and me being a tall guy the heat that comes thru is amazing and I don't mean with it open or the covering open. Truly a case of feet freezing and head hot. So I went to Home Depot and got some of the insulation, its reflective and like bubble wrap. Cut it and slid it on top of the sliding cover and under the glass. Made a MAJOR difference interior temps.
My first car with a sun roof was a '74 Chevy Monte Carlo with 454, 400 hp engine. Loved the car but soon learned to hate that leaking, wind noise, heater called a sun roof...
Superbly said. I love this sunroof, one of my favorite features. It does not leak, does not add to wind noise, and is just beautiful. In the hot sun, I shut the shade. I realize NH is certainly not Texas or Arizona.
Getting a 17 super duty without this sunroof would be like watching Bloodsport for the first time and deciding to turn it off before the final fight with Chong Li...

Love the sunroof....especially this time of year. If its sunny, I just leave the shade open. When I leave work...the trucks already nice and warm. No leak issues either.
The pages upon pages about issues with leaks and mold on the F150Forum.com gives me trepidation. Its enough worry that I'm considering a King Ranch to avoid it.
I was planning on skipping the moonroof on my platinum. It felt a little tight in the front seat and very tight in the rear seat with the roof. Maybe I'll try it again before ordering in a couple of months.
Ive had a sunroof on our suv for the past 10 years. Opening it is usually like "Hey I wonder it that thing still works?" Just don't use it or even think about it. Not knocking them I can see why people would like them just doesn't do anything for us.
Of course I forgot the vehicle had 3rd row seats also.
