Anyone have any suggestions for dressing it up a little for show? It's all original and it's still a work truck. It already looks great but I want to dress it it up a little for cheap. Any suggestions on the engine compartment? I'm to lazy to go out and take a picture at the moment but let's just say it needs cleaning. And once I ge the oil leak fixed it will stay clean.

Dressing Up My Truck

Well, what im planning on doing to my engine compartment soon is washing it down with heavy duty engine gunk, then dressing up the engine with some transdapt chrome parts, Transdapt seems to have real good prices and a good product. I already have a chrome air cleaner and valve covers on there, so now im gonna get master cyl. cover, Coil Cover, Steel Braided hose sleeves, chrome dipsticks, etc. should look nice and shiny when im done.

Take some Scrubbing Bubbles or Simple Green and go to town. Get the engine bay nice and clean then take a water based dressing and make it look very nice.

Also, coat the wheel wells with water based or I prefer silicone based dressing for the wells.

Grab something like Megs 3 step and clean the paint, put a nice coat of wax on it. Dress all the trimmings and clean the chrome. Inside the cab dress the interior with something like 303 and you should be good to go.

Man I wish I was closer because I would love to help clean that

Good luck!

I keep it waxed all the time. I need new carpet and seat covers. Does anyone know where I can find split bench seat covers? are the ones from J.C. Whitney any good?
