Hi all just picked up a black 03 limited 4x4 v10.Have been lurking here for over a year now!
Have no cruise or horn or stereo controls working on the steering wheel and I think the air bag warning light is flashing code 32 on start up and staying lit.
I replaced the master cylinder brake control switch so I'm figuring the clock spring is the next thing to check out?
All fuses are good btw.
Let me know what you guys think,Thanks!
Hey man welcome to the club! I believe you are on the right track to look at the clock spring. When my radio, cruise, and horn all went kaput at the same time, it was the clock spring.
The ex is in the shop getting detailed pics to follow.
Apparently 03 and up clocksprings are rare and expensive.Napa and another auto parts store up here don't carry them and can't even order them and they are 700 bucks from ford!!!
Anybody have any experience with this?I would think a superduty part would be interchangeable but ford says no!
Real nice!! Got front and rear for my Ex off eBay! Nowhere near as cheap as that though. Piecing together a 11-16 front slowly! Are you just going to fab up that bumper or eventually doing a full front conversion?
from what i've read here are they not an easy bolt on as is?i do plan on swapping out the front grille also.
I think the attachment is fairly straight forward, it's just that the fit isn't very good due to the different contours of the grille and the newer bumpers, expect some gaps. The rear bumpers fit great and look even better in my opinion.
