It has recently come to my attention that there may be spies among us. I was talking to a buddy of mine (that works at Dodge) and he informed me that you have to be careful as to what information I draw from sites like this. Competitors of Ford will send "spies" in and post some ugly things about the problems that they are having with their new Ford truck when in fact they don't even own a Ford truck at all. They are people that are paid by the competition to sway people away from buying a Ford truck. I am just saying be careful as to what you hear on this or any forum site because there are those out there that would be less than truthful as to the problems they are having with their 6.0. Some of the problems that are being posted on here are so crazy that you would be able to use the lemon law to take action. Talking to Ford service directly informs me that the number of problems that the 6.0 are having are isolated and that the software problems are being corrected....although they themselves are very minor. (Bad mileage and such)
I definitely believe that. I also think there are people out there who are die-hard fans of one brand who would go to another brand's site and act like they are having problems just to bash the other brands. Some people don't have much of a life.
Ok you got me I'm a spie Oops I don't own a Ford. If the problem in not as bad as everyone it saying then that good for Ford. I know of problems in two trucks not a bunch or a high # by any means. happy spieing

Sounds like Ford is doing some BS'ing too.
Don't know how isolated the problems are, but no one is arguing with a 15%-20% problem rate. Doesn't sound so isolated to me.
For those with the software problems, they are not minor. Low or no A/C. Dead pedal syndrome. No power below 1800 rpm. Crazy tranny shifts. Pitiful MPGs.
Ford has not fixed them and in fact has told some people that there is no fix.
Ford is on it 5th or 6th (or maybe 7th or 8th) software "fix" and the problems persist. I'm talking May and June built trucks.
Bell housing oil leak is still occuring. Ford claims this was "fixed" in mid-May.
This information is coming for 6.0 owners., who post VIN numbers.
Also don't forget Ford is not above posting how great there new truck is.On this and other sights people who were never on the sight before find it within a week of purchase and have to come on and tell us how great their truck is. When I first puchased my truck I was having to much fun driving it and didn't have time to surf and find a sight. So it seems we now have Dodge, GM, and FMC Trolls
