Drive Shaft Normal?

I was changing my oil and fuel filter today when I noticed my drive shaft might be extended out from my transfer case. I don't have normal pictures to compare it to so I was hoping someone here could tell me if it's normal or not. It's a 2013 F250 KR CC SB FX4.

I noticed the smooth part of the drive shaft coming from the transfer case. It also had some oil/grease that's smudged from my wiping it off.

Another view. I wiped some oil/grease off. Is this normal or should I take my truck in to the dealer to get looked at?

As the trucks suspension works the drive angle changes slightly, articulation. To do this the shaft has to have some in/out movement to compensate. I'd say it's normal.

It's a slip yoke and designed to do that.
