Fox 2.0 Shocks if you can find them.. Sold out everywhere.
I was lucky enough to get a pair from Stage3 right before they ran out. Couldn't believe I was replacing my shocks with less than 500 miles on the odo. Totally worth it, along with the Husky wheel well liners.

Sure. Before buying my truck, I had read some threads on f150forum about how bad the rear shocks are. On my way home from buying the truck, I experienced it first hand. Hit an expansion joint on a curve at 55 mph, the whole rear end jumped sideways - not a good feeling. After replacing the shocks, I drove over the same joint and didn't even feel a bump. Truck feels more firmly planted. I can't really compare too much to stock because I only drove a few hundred miles before replacing. I had the same rear-end behavior with my 2011 also, so I knew what people were talking about and I knew I didn't want that with the new 2016. Now I've only had them for about 400 miles now, but have yet to experience any of the before behaviors.

HTH.
Did you go with the Fox 2.0 shocks front and rear? Or just rear?
My 2016 4wd Sport actually rides way smoother than my 2011 2wd. Better rear shocks will defiantly help. If your looking for the absolute smoothest ride without the harsh rebound characteristics that leaf spring rear ends have is to get a set of Deaver or comparable leaf packs. The cheaper route that i did on my last truck was the mini pack. Instead of buying a complete new set of leafs it just upgrades what you have. You remove the overload spring and it adds maybe 5 shorter leafs of variably lengths so the travel is more progressive. By far the best mod i have done to that truck. I did have coilover set up just to level the truck out, but after the leaf pack no longer would you bounce in the air after hitting a dip.
The problem on all the modern 1/2 tons is the fight for payload bragging. They want to rate the truck at such a high payload that they are way too stiff if you are unloaded. Look at any new 1/2 ton (except the coil sprung Ram), the leafs sit with almost no arc to them. They are pretty flat and if you just sit on the tailgate then you are already pretty much riding on overload springs.
For a simple test or if you dont tow much go ahead and pull the overload leaf out of your stock leafs and drive it around. You will see the difference right away
On a side note i still have an almost new set of rear Icon 2.0 shocks for the rear that fit a 2wd. I havnt checked fitment but icon has a different part number for the 4wd on my 16 so i figured i cant use them
Tried out a 2016 XLT Fx4 the other week. It felt rather lively. Tried an F150 Lariat and a very noticeable difference on the same road. Just felt much more planted.
Bought the Lariat last Tuesday. It handles rough better than my 2011 F350 with new stock type shocks and is far more comfortable to drive.

That certainly says a lot of the FX4 shocks .vs the regular OEM shocks. Congrats on your NEW F150!!
