Do you think a certain set of options are holding you and the other early orders up? Or do you think that Ford's computer system is just fouled up and skipped your order?
Why not go ahead and order another one with the identical options? Maybe it would go ahead and be built?
Where you every assigned Priority 1? I see quite a few guys here that got priority 1. In the past Priority 1 was reserved for those vehicles that got damaged in transit, etc but if Ford is handing them out too frequently then it's not really top priority any more but it still might get you a truck built.
Had I realized the delays would continue over and over I would have ordered again and pushed hard for a priority 01. But then again I don't think it should be necessary to game the system. If the build is not done next week it will be full stop and start over again.
If you wait for technology to perfect itself you would still be using a Canastota Wagon to climb Donner Pass. I'll take a chance on the new. Spent most of my life waiting until the new was passe. Inexpensive and a little more reliable, yes but new and exciting? That was two years ago. Now lets see " CD:\>dir Damn I hate coding dos.
"Mom, can't I get a new computer? superRobertduty has one, please, please, please!"
"No Robbie, my friend says the price is going to drop next summer and they will be so much faster."
"But Mommm, they even have them with color screens now! And they don't even make the TRS 80 anymore."
"I said no and I mean it. Now go outside and help your father unhitch the horses. He has been plowing all day and needs to come in to eat."
I don't really understand your rationale , you shouldn't take my opinion personally. I have nothing against new technology in fact I embrace it most times but in this case they're trying to fix something that is not broken it's just a gimmick . if you feel like you did the right thing more power to you , however I also realize you have to try and defend your expensive purchase for some reason . Be confident, I am . time will tell this story. I've been a Ford truck purchaser and a member here for a very very long time so I will be around and we can look back on this and see how it all works out.
P.s buy the extended warranty

Don't take me too seriously. I just ramble bits and bytes since I have nothing else to talk about without going down the rabbit hole regarding the mis-management of the Ford project managers and schedulers. No insults intended to you, I just saw a story to create. I have for years been years behind on technology waiting for the new improved models but this new stuff came about the same time I am again in the market for a vehicle and I happen to have some cash in the pocket waiting for a folly to take it away!! If these truck work, great! And yes I will have the extended warranty. I have been a proponent of them going back to the mid eighties and each and every one has paid for itself especially since we keep our vehicle much longer than most people do. Maybe not this new one if it ever gets built, but we'll see. So cheers mate and enjoy the ride!
Adaptive steering has been on and off the commodities list several times. Some of the first produced trucks had their AS reprogrammed before being released from KTP. Mine is a Lariat since it the highest level available in the super cab, a style which I prefer with the slide in camper and smaller camp grounds. I do not need the extra 12 inch wheel base of the CC. And DOS is something I never could get the hang of, I wish I could keep track of the commands. Our son used to get frustrated trying to keep me on the right track because even Windows first required being able to code in order to correct the programming mistakes of must programs. And yes I was born the year that Mao Tse Tung formed communist China and Nato was formed with the signatures from 12 countries. 1949
Duh. Now I look at your signature...
Lariat Super Cab etc.
I'm just a kid then. 1955 I just missed the VN war. Never did serve, kind of regret that.
Lots of other ways to serve. Help a few souls out, take a Vet out to lunch or just sit and listen to someone older who has a story to tell, even if its the same one they told yesterday. Help some kids or scouts. Be a good citizen and respect others. And vote against Hillary and not for a third party spoiler. Now that is the start of serving in other ways.
Already voted for Trump.
My uncle that I never met died in the Bataan Death march.
My brother in law was a Ranger LRRP in VN. The stories he tells makes me wonder how he got home alive. Many of his group didn't make it. The good Lord wanted him back is all.
Have a really good story of him and an artillery gunner that lives here now. Too long.
My dad tried to go to Korea war, but when he told them he was a farmer they said no, go back to work and feed the soldiers. Partly why I didn't join.
