OK I found the vin# thread got most of the info BUT as far as the production # I can't seem to make sense of it. My truck is an F-100 2wd and the serial # is....F10HCX92866. I am I reading something wrong or is this a screw-up? The frame is from a 77 and the cab has been replaced. I don't know where my Dad got it or what year it could be. The ownership is where I got the Vin #. Door plat is gone also

The frame is from a '77. The 1977 model year serial numbers go from X80,001 to Z25,000, yours is X92,866
Probably be a good idea to check the VIN that's stamped in the frame to verify. Top passenger side frame rail, somewhere between the radiator support and firewall, usually inline with the alternator.
