97 psd acceleration problem
97 psd with banks power pack kit, having problem under acceleration, engine seems to load up with fuel at different rpms, blows out lots of blue smoke, at times it seems as if the motor has shut down and when you let off the accelerator it runs again, the problem only happens on some days. The truck has run fine for several years with the banks system. I have removed the banks fuel chip, this only reduces the severity of the problem. The cmp was replaced the first time this happened, did not help. Has been to the dealer several times, it will not act up when there and they say there are no codes showing. Any ideas would be appreciated, gettin tired of limping around.

It sounds like the IDM (Injector Driver Module) is on its way out. Have the truck scanned and make sure they do a contribution test.
Also, have you checked the screen in the fuel pressure regulator? Sometimes they plug and it'll cause a similar condition.

well it finally showed a code, actually two, both for the tps, a high voltage and low voltage, hope this does it going to pick up the new throttle assembly tonight. They ran the contribution test and it passed. it also showed a cmp code but since the cmp is new we think it was just beacuse it could not match it with the tps. Thanks for you help, glad i found this site.
