Firestone RH-5

I know how dangerous these wheels can be and have read many of the horror stories associated with them. My question is how do you disassemble them to reuse the tires? I wrapped a chain around them and set the front bucket of my backhoe on them to let the air out now I can't get them apart.

Got it separated without damage to the tire. Now that I have one apart I see how it was designed to come apart.

Glad you sorted it out. Here's a period Firestone promo flier describing it. Amazes me they were termed "Advanced Design" rims. Stu

Yup, that's what they've come to be known as. But the trade name is Firestone RH-5°. Stu
