Alright guys back again with another question. so my eot is wild after warm up from 100* to normal operating temperature. IE from 195* to 177* to 186* back to normal I've seen it as low as 100*. ect stays 190*-195* at all times. I have replaced my sensor. where can I start troubleshooting this issue? Today it caused my cel and a high eot alarm, fan to come on etc. must have spiked for a second and sounded the alarm. so any help would be appreciated.
Your connector is bad or the wires to the connector are shorting together. What did a cold soak reveal... they were within a degree or two? That would show the sensor wasn't bad, but the connector or the wires to the connector...
Yea cold soak was good so probly replaced it for nothing. so hand over hand the wires until something presents itself? the plug looked fine when I installed it but I will double check tomorrow.
You may see that the wires look stressed by a discoloration, lighter color near the connector, may give you a bleached out appearance. Maybe separate the wire, add a piece of electrical tape between them or just replace the pigtail.
Have someone watch the gauge when it's happening, wiggle the wires to see if it makes a difference.... go from there.
Makes sense. I will do the checks tomorrow and report back. should be able to handle it just didn't know if there were readings to give away the issue. thank so for the quick reply.

put some electrical tape between the pigtail wires they dont look too good I may have to replace it. will have to see if that's it tomorrow though haven't had a chance to operationally test it. hopefully that's it cause the rest of the wires are covered in the insulation from the factory and I would rather not take it off.
