My truck!
At $200, I say give it a try. If it has too many major problems, then use it as a part donor, for the next truck. I paid $600 for my F350. After replacing the carb it would run, but I still had to clean up the electrical wiring the PO left for me. What the heck give it a try, then let us know how it is going.
I say buy it. If there is a scrap yard local to you. And you have a place to store it. Whatever you don't use you can scrap it for prolly more than $200.00. Once you get it to your shop or garage take it apart just enough to assess it. Be realistic. Fixable by you? Fixable by someone else if you flip it? As others have said above it will cost big dinero. But at $200.00 it might be a good parts truck.
my thoughts with it being a Washington truck is the wet conditions and the possibility of new sheetmetal needing to be put in.
is it doable, yes. I'm doing it to and only have a little bit of wrenching history. I'm lucky enough to have an old mechanic handy to help diagnose stuff when they inevitably go strange.
just always remember the reason why you're doing it.

" never let a woman know how much money you have "
