just overhauled my 6.0. run great for about 3 days now runs really rough when cold. new heads injectors rings pistons ficm fuel pump icp sensor ipr valve fuel pressure is good. engine rolls smothly when cold also. at a loss need help!
would really need to see the reading from the sensors to tell for sure... even new ficms can be problematic... but without the readout from the various sensors on the vehicle they can be a pain to diagnose.
Icp bounces 700-800 to 1100-1200 at idle film 48-48.5 key on not running and running ficm mp 12.8-13 fuel pressure is 50-52 have to get mor readings tomorrow
so far looks good.. the bouncing icp could be just reflecting the rough idle. do you know if the fuel pressure spring was ever upgraded? blue springs supposed to put you at or around 65psi.. where the factory ones 40-50psi.. downside is less than 45psi will kill your injectors over time by starving them.
the MAP could be just the PID codes entered incorrectly..
if the trucks running and IPR not registering id say the same for it the PID's not right... if it wasnt running that could be a good place to start... i was hoping by now some of the more informed ones would have posted in here to help..
sorry misread it.. might be the sensor there but i dont typically watch the MAT in mine.. will have to switch to it tomorrow when i go to work.. messaged a couple more techie people in hopes theyll come in to help give some food for thought...
That bouncing makes me thing pressure leak. Have you tried running with the ICP
disconnected? That would force the PCM to run at a default. If it runs with all the
misbehavior that I would say the sensor and/or the plug. If the plug is oil soaked
that is a sign that the seal had gone bad and letting oil out.
I would start with this one ^^^^ because it free and easy to reach.
Also IA1 is the temp from the MAS (Mass Airflow Sensor) IA2 is the sensor on
the intake manifold on the drivers side leg of the manifold.
One other thing to have a look at if you moved a lot of things around would be the
MAP sensor and the hose to it from the intake. Sometimes the hose can crack or
the nipples get plugged. If the hose is good be sure that the nipple on the manifold
is clean.
I would also check the Vref. If you find it jumping around that could be caused by a broken wire
and that would screw with the ICP readings also. Vref should be a stable 5 V.
Have replaced icp sensor and plug. Also ran with it unplugged no change at all brand new map sensor because boost gauge quit and map was showing 2.8 all well after replacing that as far as boost. Also replaced hose. Have new mass air flow sensor also. Iat1 is ready off the wall crazy things and mat is releasing -40 going to double check pids later today
not sure on it having a leak starts great cold and hot jus runs really rough when
